Asia’s largest single LED virtual shooting screen is put into use in Lake China

With a mouse click by the staff, the 50-meter-diameter ring screen on the stage instantly switched from the depths of the ocean to Mount Everest. The actors were in it, and it was difficult to distinguish the authenticity of the picture... Recently, Asia's largest single LED virtual shooting screen was put into use at the AI virtual film and television base of Zhejiang Bocai Media Co., Ltd. in Deqing County. The impact of future film and television is coming.

In the movie "Inception", the protagonist can create any scene by thinking. This plot has become a reality in Bocai Media. "Our digital asset library has more than 100,000 digital assets. You can choose the assets in the asset library to build scenes according to the art settings, and build an environment in the digital world that matches the era of the film." Niu Cong, project coordinator of the President Office of Bocai Media, said.

Since it was put into operation in Deqing in September last year, Bocai Media has become the world's first AI virtual production base to achieve a full real-time closed loop of "script creation-real-time preview-LED shooting" with the complete construction of its new film industrial base system.

The shooting of a movie requires pre-preparation, shooting, post-production and other links. At Bocai Media, these traditional processes are being reshaped. On the day of the interview, Niu Cong took the reporter to visit several core shooting bases.

In the real-time high-speed preview studio, the actors quickly moved and performed, and the cameras followed them closely. What was displayed on the monitor wasA war scene - on a battlefield full of smoke, soldiers avoid bombings and raise their rifles to shoot from time to time. Outside the monitor, the director issued instructions to various departments to optimize the virtual scene. "Real-time preview technology can visualize the script with high precision, and the shooting content can be determined to the maximum extent before the official start of filming." Niu Cong said.

In the LED virtual studio, the reporter saw through the monitor a girl in ancient costume slowly walking through the verandah, and the palaces in the distance were magnificent. In addition to actors, buildings, vegetation, light and shadow are all virtual scenes. "During the filming process, we put the required scenes into the screen, and through various physical algorithms, the camera captured the scene on the LED screen." said Guo Zhiwei, leader of the virtual scene team of Bocai Media.

At the shooting scene, the MOCO (Motion Control System) system independently developed by Bocai Media responded quickly and found the best angle for shooting at any time. Niu Cong introduced that the "Four Generals of the Demon Family" stunt in "Fengshen Part 2: War of Xiqi" was shot with this system. The system can not only carry 120 kilograms of objects to complete a wide range of movements with high freedom, but also achieve high-speed, cool and complex lens designs.

"Our efficiency is three times that of traditional production, but the cost has been saved by at least one-third." Guo Zhiwei said that in the past, if there was any problem in any link such as lighting, art, costumes, etc. during the filming process, the entire team would have to wait for dozens of people to wait together. Now the final shot is completed after the on-site shooting.头,遇到需要调整布景细节的要求也能实时响应。

目前,博采传媒工业化虚拍系统已经成功进入北美好莱坞等地,实现了中国技术的海外输出。
